House of Valobra
A tradition over 100 years old

The history of the Valobra Jewelry Atelier dates back to 1905, beginning in Piazza San Carlo in Torino, Italy. Known for exceptional craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail, coupled with extraordinary design skills, Valobra Atelier earned the prestigious title of official jewelers to the Italian royal family. The House of Savoy, the longest-reigning dynasty in Europe at the time, commissioned Vittorio Valobra (1874-1954) and his artisans to create a range of spectacular pieces, from matrimonial tiaras and official royal medals to various jewelry creations for King Vittorio Emanuele III and his family.

Vittorio’s son, Aldo (1901-1993), transformed the exquisite shop into a “pointe de rencontre” for the nobility of Torino, the official residence of the Royal Family. His son, Vittorio (1929-2007), expanded the Atelier’s reach by designing and creating jewelry for world-renowned jewelry houses while maintaining his creative genius for loyal clients.

Today, the fourth generation of the Valobra family has further broadened the international presence of the Valobra Jewelry Atelier. The first gallery in the United States opened in 1982, located in a historically significant building on Royal Street in the heart of the French Quarter of New Orleans. In 2006, an Atelier was established in New Orleans, Texas. The most recent addition is the boutique on the renowned Via Nassa in Lugano, Switzerland, which opened its doors in 2013.

Over a century has passed since the first Valobra jewel was designed and handcrafted in Torino, Italy. Valobra creations have graced the Academy Awards and the Emmys, and have been featured in fashion magazines such as Vogue and W. Special pieces have been commissioned for international celebrities and movie stars. Despite the passage of time, the philosophy of Valobra remains unchanged and unwavering. As the founder famously stated, “Jewelry designing is one of those rare endeavors in which you can strive for and obtain absolute perfection.”

We will not settle for anything less.
